Beijing Olympics Watch 001

I can't keep my eyes away from the TV when the summer games are on and especially not from the swim meets. It's just been that exciting with Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin winning golds. Even the synchronize diving competition was riveting and I began to sound like those annoying pushy parents from the sidelines commenting on every move. The only thing I don't like watching are the "Beijing Watch" segments where the reporters try to be comical by learning "how to eat with chopsticks" or "visiting mega-malls/arenas with special guest host, the tallest man in China". Pbshhhh! Just show pandas playing mahjong already!

Hubby and BF

Tyson was having a little trouble with his iPhone and I mentioned Jon works for Apple - then, he asks how to e-mail a photo and the geeky hubby gives him a tutorial on Tyson's brand-spanking new 3G. (I still want one!) And voila - this cheeky photo is taken! Then, we continued on chatting mostly about the rally, his RR w/right-hand driver, etc. He was pretty chill to talk to and is really down-to-earth.

Hey guy, just stop it.

Tonight I was seated next to an elderly gentleman who saw the show we were about to see [A Chorus Line] twenty-four times.Achorusline And I know this because he announced it to the guy he sat next to, the guy who sat in front of me, the guy behind us, the guy passing by in the aisle and the guy two rows down. He also showed me his jazz hands and I felt his jazz elbows as they swung into my forearms which were not on the shared armrest that he hogged, but atop my handbag.

I know his taste in men now, young men who have a great physique also known as Swing Boys 1-4 and Chorus Boys 1 - ALL. And heard his disregard for the "Tits and Ass" girl cause she was annoying. (I didn't think she was bad at all.) Lastly, I smelled the Garlique he had begun to digest a few days ago that accompanied his singing voice which would erupt loudly only at the parts he knew best, after all he's only seen it 24x.

I think I'm sick or at least I sound like it.

After a full week of telling myself and others "I'm fine, I can party with ya'll!" I really, really made myself super sick with a fever, chills and finally fatigue. I knocked myself out and woke up feeling like hell twelve hours later. I was hot then, cold and sweaty and yucky overall. But this only happens once a year or two...it's the migraines that really bother me.

Snood

Snood A few weeks ago, my IT guy updated my college computer so my intern could use it and I re-discovered SNOOD - the only computer game I liked to play and was decent at. The game is simple, just match the Snood monster head with others on the screen, point and shoot. then they disappear. But shoot 'em up before you get squashed.

It's a simple pleasure. Really.

The Heavenly States Album Release Show of Delayer

The Heavenly States are Ted Nesseth, Jeremy Gagon, Genevieve Gagon and Masanori Mark Christianson.

The band has toured the US, Australia, the UK, Egypt and were the first rock band to play Libya. Libyan-American producer, Jawal Nga (Chasing Daylight, Underdog, The Clearing, Forty Shades of Blue) is currently writing a screen play based on the band's tour in Libya.

For Delayer, The Heavenly States have decided to use their collective studio experience to produce the record themselves, unlike their earlier albums, which were produced by such big names as Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, Two Gallants), Paul Oldham (Will Oldham's older brother and main producer), and John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., The Hold Steady). Delayer is thick with sonic layers and, as Rolling Stone says of their prior album, "delivers equal parts patchouli-soaked violin and Superchunk-worthy melodies." Look for Delayer to hit stores in February.

About two weeks ago, we screened the film The Promotion...hilarious!  And had a brief Q&A with the director, Steve Conrad and lead, Sean William Scott. Then, the following day Dave and I got to do a one-on-one with Sean who was just a sweetheart. Here's the first cut and the extended version, about an hour long with the full interview with Sean will be up soon.

100 Push Ups

Onehundred250x250

I've been weak sauce especially with boys at work now who can do the heavy lifting for me. I can no longer carry 2 - 48 packs of beer, but soon I will...and possibly even more.
