No I'm not being patriotic because of the darn Olympical Games. I just want to show you the two worlds the 'tweens are debating over: Disney and Gossip Girl also known as Marys (immaculate conception is the only way baby!) and Slutty McBackStab.

Butterface

A few nights ago as Ang (Jon's sister) and I were watching Michael Phelps in his natural habitat, we did as any two gals would do as they stared at man-meat...oogle and gossip. Staring at Phelps-O-Lympics we can't help but be drawn to everything below the neck: those arms, abs, torso and umm, speedo<branded> nether region. Is it because his mouth is naturally agape with those chompers always in view? And when he speaks you know that he's a jock, yeah...most definitely.  Then, Ang blurts it out, "He's a butterface!" I turn my head in shock and in natural, agreement, "Yeah, just what I was thinking." Fortunately, we're not the only meanies who think so.

Advanced Beauty

Saw this on Theme's blog and felt the need to share it with you all. Video art is hard to grasp and even harder to make sense of. It's even more subjective than the normal visual art we are all familiar with and most people from traditional realms easily dismiss them into the categories of commercialism. But this curated video series is explosive and though one can see the beginnings of a music video or ad campaign, you can't doubt its mystique.

Loving This Look

Earlier, a friend of mine asked me what I thought of a new boutique that recently popped up. I said I wasn't sure since my style is a mix of victorian style-hippy chic+ old-skool adidas, if there's such a thing. But here lies what I like: bold colors, curve-emphasizing shapes, tried & true patterns and I bet they can rock some adidas with these outfits.

Back from NY!

Okay I was really back like two weeks ago, but it took me that long to upload the photos (which was not a lot) that I took.

NY was great! And best of all I had tons of fun doing no work for about 6 days and then, work for 2 days. Then, returned to SF to take our summer interns out on a mini-hike. It was a nice break from all of the hectic-ness that is trabajo.
